摘要
英汉两种语言中包含着大量的习语。在中西方文化交流日趋深入的今天 ,不可避免地要遇到英汉习语的互译。由于英汉两种语言深受各自文化的影响 ,他们之间有着较大的差异。这种差异导致了翻译中的词汇空缺现象。只有对中西方文化之间的差异深入了解 ,并采用恰当的方法 ,才能弥补这种词汇空缺现象 。
There are a large quantity of idioms and fixed expressions in both Eng lish and Chinese languages. We are bound to meet how to translate them in the co mmunication between Chinese and West cultures which are developed further today. Great diversities exit among them because of the influence of their different c ultures. Only do we go into these diversities and adopt suitable principles, we can mix up this equivalence gap. Then the real aim of intercultural communicatio n can be arrived at.
