摘要
目前 ,人们对词汇的研究大多限于对词汇广度的研究 ,而对词汇的深度却较少关注。本文根据词汇及其相关理论 ,提出了词汇深度所包含的几个方面。并从对词汇深度的定义出发 ,通过实验探讨了词汇的广度和深度与阅读理解的关系 ,并提出 ,词汇深度的某些方面与阅读理解的关系也是应该引起重视的。同时 ,作者指出 ,词汇深度的另一些方面与阅读理解的关系并不密切。
Nowadays, people's researches into the vocabulary are mainly limited to the study of the breadth of the vocabulary. Very few research explores the depth of the vocabulary. Based on the vocabulary theory and the relevant theories, this article puts forward some aspects that are included in the depth of the vocabulary. After defining the depth of the vocabulary, the author does one experiment. This experiment studies the relationship between the breadth and the depth of the vocabulary and reading comprehension. As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that some aspects of the depth of the vocabulary are worth paying attention to while some other aspects of the depth of the vocabulary are not since the latter seems not to have much significant relationship with the reading comprehension.
