摘要 Objective: To investigate the expression of Smad4 and p21WAF1 in endometrial carcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods: Immunohistochemical method wasused to detect Smad4 and p21WAF1 expression in 56 cases of endometrial carcinoma. Results: The positive rate ofSmad4 was 80.36% in endometrial carcinoma. The Samd4 expression was significantly correlated with histologicalgrade (P<0.01) and clinical stage (P<0.05). The positive rate of p21WAF1 was 64.28% in endometrial carcinoma. Theexpression of p21WAF1 was correlated with depth ofmyometrial invasion (P<0.01). There was no correlation between Smad4 and p21WAF1 expression (P>0.05). Conclusion: Smad4 may play an important role in the tumorigenesis, differentiation and progression ofendometrial carcinoma. The expression of p21WAF1 wasassociated with the tumorigenesis of endometrial carcinoma, but the association between p21WAF1 and differentiationand progression of endometrial carcinomas needs to befurther investigated.
