关于彗晕的形状,没有一致的意见和结论。利用何种曲线描述彗晕,对于彗晕模型的建立以及彗晕动力学的理解具有重要的意义。借助于流体力学中一个修正的牛顿公式,指出彗晕的形状接近悬链线。还指出彗晕并不像Eddington所讨论那样,是尘埃颗粒轨道的抛物线包络。
There is no conclusion and consensus on the shape of halos. The determination of what kind of curves the halos are described by, has significant meaning for the construction of model and in the understanding of the dynamics of halos. By means of a modified Newton's formula of hydrodynamics, it is shown that the shape of cometary halos is close to a catenary. It is also pointed out that the halos do not correspond to the paraboloidal envelopes of dust grain orbits as discussed by Eddington.
