摘要
本文作者认为知识经济条件下图书馆的社会职能,与传统图书馆的基本职能相同,只不过得到进一步强化、延伸,所以,无论科学技术如何发展,只要社会需要还存在,图书馆也就有存在的必然性。
Social functions of the library in the knowledge-based economy are basically similar to those of the traditional library, but are further strengthened and extended. Therefore, the author thinks however fast science and technology develop it's still necessary for the library to exist as long as the human society exists and needs it.
