摘要
详细介绍了 ODBC这一目前常用的在相关或不相关的数据库管理系统 (DBMS)中存取数据的标准应用程序接口 (API) ,包括它的优点、结构与应用原理。实质上 ,ODBC是一个数据库访问库 ,它支持多种操作系统环境 ,而且基于 ODBC的应用程序还具有极大的独立性。最后以 VC+ +为开发软件 ,实现了应用程序与数据源的连接和库结构信息的获取 。
In order to realize the data exchange among different database management systems, a system needs to have the ability to visit heterogeneous databases and to manage different databases. Therefore, the Open DatabBase Connectivity (ODBC) is created to facilitate such a situation. A heterogeneous database operation platform is developed based on the ODBC. The architecture of the ODBC is introduced. An application program is developed to realize the mutual operation among heterogeneous databases using VC++6.0.
