摘要
本文探索了稀土元素在金刚石工具中的行为机制。作者自 80年代开始对铈在铜基胎体、铝基胎体、钴基胎体中的力学性能和高温性能[12 3 ] 进行了系统研究 ,80年代末开始研究镧元素在金刚石工具中的行为 ,包括镧、铈与胎体材料的磨损性能、切割性能的关系 ,及磨损性能与切割性能之间的联系[6] ,发现 :稀土镧、铈能明显地降低结合剂的磨损性能 ,提高工具的切割性能 ,并成功地应用在工具中。稀土元素是使用量微、作用明显的元素 ,而且价格便宜 ,在金刚石工具中很有推广价值。
This paper involved recent researches on the behavior of rare-earth elements in diamond tools. Studies were carried out on the action of La, Ce and their matrix materials, including the relations between wear and cutting properties. It was found that such rare-earth elements as La and Ce can decrease remarkably the wear properties of the binder and improve the cutting properties of diamond tools. As the consumption of the rare-earth elements is low in diamond tools and they present good behavior, and the cost is low, it's possible to put them into wide application.
