Fabrication of methyl alcoholto expand product space was much important for large fertilizer plant.The 30,000t/y methy1 alcohol installation manufactured by Jinxi Chemical Machinery(Group)Co.,Ltd.for Jinxi Natural Gas Co.,Ltd.had been in good condition since it was put into operation in October 2002,the production capacity and product quality meet the design requirements.The 2400 methy1 alcohol synthesis tower was the critical equipment to be used for production of methyl alcohol from synthesis gas.The construction quality of the methyl alcohol synthesis tower affects the quality of the methy1 alcohol produced.Practice demonstrates that the manufacturing processes of the methyl alcohol tower were practicable.This article introduced the typical manufacturing processes of the forming of the shell sections and head,surfacing of tubesheet,assembly and welding of tubesheet to channel,welding of dual phase steel reaction tube to tubesheet,and non-destructive test,heat treatment,assembly and test for the main parts.
