An Analysis of Push and Pull Factors in the Migration of Rural Workers in China

摘要本文运用推拉理论模型对影响中国城市农民工流动的因素进行分析。作者认为 ,中国的推拉模式与国际上相比存在着巨大差异 ,其中最主要的差异在于户籍制度。户籍是影响中国城乡流动的最为突出的制度障碍 ,它不仅对推拉发生一般的影响 ,而且还使得推拉失去效力。这样 ,中国的人口流动将不再遵循一般的推拉规律。推力和拉力之所以失去效力 ,是因为流动农民工在长期户籍制度的影响下心理发生了变形。本文运用生活目标、生活预期、心理定位和生命周期等概念来分析这个过程。 With a model of pushc and pull theory this paper analyzes the factors that influence the migration of rural workers in China.In the author's view,the push and pull model in China is quite different from that in other countries,the major difference being the household registration system.Household registration constitutes the greatest institutional barrier obstructing the migration of rural workers.It not only exerts negative impact on the push and pull factors,it causes them to produce no effect at all.In these circumstances,internal migration in China does not follow the normal law of push and pull.The loss of efficacy of push and pull factors results from the psychological deformation of the rural workers under long stress of the household registration system.The paper makes use of conceptions like life objectives,life expectations,psychological orientation and life cycle to analyze this process.
