Blood and semen lead, cadmium, zinc, magnesium, calcium and copper concentrations were analyzed in 38 lead-exposed and 40 non-exposed workers. Blood and semen lead concentrations of lead-exposed workers were 2.274 and 3.209μmol/L and were significantly higher than those of controls (1.139 and 0.798μmol/L, respectively). No significant differences were found in blood and semen concentrations of cadmium, magnesium, calcium, copper and zinc between the two groups, The blood cadmium, magnesium; calcium, copper and zinc concentrations were 0.014μmol/L, 0.584, 1.783, 0.011, 0.032mmol/L in exposed group and 0.020μmol/L, 0.572, 1.906, 0.009, 0.031 mmol/L in control group, respectively. And the semen cadmium, magnesium, calcium and zinc levels were 0.004μmol/L, 1.666,8.159, 4.099mmol/L in exposed workers and 0.004μmol/L, 1.971, 7.540, 4.038 mmol/L in non-exposed ones, respectively. Smoking and alcohol drinking had 40 effects on blood and semen lead concentrations.
