A new idea on how to effectively reduce or avoid the burning loss, unfixing and drop, wreckage of graphite electrode during steelmaking is expounded. The concept of ideal connection is put forward. It is emphasized that it is important to use ring gauge measuring and hard carbide tooth plane iron machining, which help to improve the machining precision.
