快速成形制造 (RPM)技术是 80年代后期发展起来的一门新兴技术。目前 ,用于设计验证和制作原型的高价位快速成形机已被设计者和管理者们接受。在引起制造模具的大笔费用之前 ,试验完整的功能原型将达到发现并纠正设计中的错误的目的 ,而这时费用的支出很少。近几年 。
Rapid Prototyping(RP)manufacturing technology is a new technology of evolving from the end of 1980s.Designers and managers have accepted high priced RP machines as a tool of validating a new design and builing a prototype.Before pretty penny is expended for manufacturing some dies and/or molds,a complete functional prototype is tested in order to discovering and correcting mistakes in design,and there is low cost in the period.However,in recent years we have become conscious of naissance of a new type machine—low priced concept modeler,and it enirely is different from those high priced RP machines.
