截止到2002年年底,我国已建成的高速公路超过2万公里发展高速公路所带来的社会经济效益已为事实所证明,社会各界对发展高速公路已不存异议但一些地方存在高速公路建成后交通流量不饱和现象,于是,人们对我国究竟要建多少高速公路?现有高速公路规模是否已经够了?交通部制定的高速公路发展目标是否偏高?等一些问题开始产生疑问为此,我刊特选登了交通部科学研究院副研究员王先进的文章。如读者有任何不同见解,欢迎来稿讨论。
China's national expressway system has completed more than 20,000 kilometres by the end of 2002. The social and economic benefits from the system development have been proved and nobody disagrees with it. However, the traffic density has not reached the design requirements in some expressway projects. The questions have been raised: How many expressways should the system be built in China? Is the existing expressway system adequate? Does the target set on expressway by the Ministry go beyond the need?
