摘要
XML技术具有良好的数据存储格式、可扩展性、高度结构化、便于网络传输等4大特点，由于XML能针对特定的应用定义自己的标记语言，使得其在各个行业的应用具有开创性。该文采用XML作为基础，建立了一个图形数据库系统，该系统采用了XML的体系结构和实现方法，对于图形数据的网络化存储以及数据库连接、数据查询都作了实现性开发，实践证明XML技术是可行的。
XML has a lot of well characteristics such as good format of data storage, good expansibility, highly formed, easily to transfer through Internet, etc.For the benefits that XML can define its own markup language, XML can be used in several kinds of businesses of information exchange. The paper selects XML as base to build a CAD database and uses XML as output to realize these characteristics and builds a whole Web-based CAD database. The results prove it is feasible and successful of XML in Web CAD database system.
