摘要
大学的主要功能应包括教学、科研和为社会服务 ,因而大学应兼有学术性和职业性特点。本科教育 ,既应为立志从事学术研究 ,攻读硕士、博士的人才提供知识平台 ,也应为大量的完成学士学业 ,准备服务社会的人才提供就业基础。因此 ,提出在中国发展应用型本科教育的观点 ,初步论证了发展应用型本科教育的可能性 ,并探讨了应用型本科的办学模式、应用型人才素质构架 ,论证了应用型本科办学的可行性。
Since its principal functions embody teaching,scientific research and intellectual service to the society,an institute of higher learning possesses the characteristics of academic and professional orientations.Not only should an institute of undergraduate education provide basic academic knowledge framework for the students who are determined to pursue academic research,master degree or Ph.D,but also help the students who just want to get a bachelor degree and then go direct to the sociegy to be equipped with vocational or professional knowledge. This article puts forward a viewpoint of constructing application-oriented institutes of higher learning in China,together with its possibility, cultivation model,quality of application-oriented talents and feasibility.
