The increasing demands and keen trade competition for the power sources have promoted the development of primary batteries in the world. In fact the battery manufacturers worldwide have made rapid progresses in production and technology, especially in the reduction of harmful metals in raw materials used in battery production. Further improvements will be expected in the near future.
