Based on the current technology and market informations in the telecommunication industry, this article analyzes the trends for next generation telecommunication networks. It foresees the integration of telecommunication networks, computer networks, and cable TV networks as well as the merging of the technologies, market and the business. It also comments on the development of telecommunication industry in China.
