摘要
点到点隧道协议(PPTP)是用来保证TCP/IP上的PPP连接安全的。由于MS-CHAP中存在的安全问题,Mi-crosoft发布了新版本的MS-CHAPv2。文章将概述MS-CHAPv2中对认证和加密密钥产生部分所做的改进,并对这些改进及存在的问题进行评估。
The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol(PPTP)is used to secure PPP connections over TCP/IP link.Because there exists some security problems ,microsoft released extensions to the PPTP authentication mechanism(MS-CHAP),called MS-CHAPv2.This paper presents an overview of the changes in the authentication and encryption-key generation portions of MS-CHAPv2,and assesses the improvements and remaining weaknesses in Microsoft's PPTP implementation.
