摘要
信息集成是一项极其重要而又富有挑战性的工作,并引起了多方广泛的关注。文章简要介绍了目前已有的几种信息集成方法。同时介绍了XML的特点,并指出,正是这些特点使得XML十分适合作为数据交换格式。文章还给出了基于XML的信息集成的主要部件和关键因素。还对这种新型方法和传统方法进行了对比。
Information integration is an important and challenging job and has attracted various efforts in the past decades.This paper reviews and comments the several existing typical methods for information integration briefly.Subse-quently the paper points out the excellent characteristics of XML making it a good choice of Data Interchange Format(DIF),and then the new XML-based approach is introduced to address this thorny issue.The architecture and main components of the new approach are also presented.And this way can greatly promote reusability of common compo-nents and interoperability between different systems.
