ESG表现对农作物种业企业品牌价值的影响研究——兼论企业创新能力的中介效应

Impact of ESG Performance on the Brand Value of Crop Seed Companies:On the Mediating Effect of Enterprise Innovation Capability

摘要 基于2017—2023年农作物种业企业的面板数据,实证检验了ESG表现与农作物种业企业品牌价值的关系以及企业创新能力对二者之间关系的中介效应。研究发现,ESG表现对农作物种业企业品牌价值的提升作用显著,且企业创新能力在ESG表现对农作物种业企业品牌价值的提升作用中起中介作用。异质性检验发现,ESG表现对种业企业品牌价值的提升作用存在显著的技术采纳阶段异质性,未采用或研发节水抗旱种子的企业ESG表现对农作物种业企业品牌价值有正向的显著影响,而采用或研发节水抗旱种子的企业ESG表现对农作物种业企业品牌价值的提升作用并不显著。 Based on panel data from crop seed industry enterprises from 2017 to 2023,the relationship between ESG performance and the brand value of crop seed industry enterprises,as well as the mediating effect of corporate innovation capability on this relationship were empirically examined.The findings indicate that ESG performance significantly enhances the brand value of crop seed industry enterprises,with corporate innovation capability playing a mediating role in this enhancement.Heterogeneity tests reveal that the effect of ESG performance on brand value varies significantly across different stages of technology adoption.Specifically,ESG performance has a significantly positive impact on the brand value of enterprises that have not adopted or developed water-saving and drought-resistant seeds,whereas its effect is not significant for enterprises that have adopted or developed such seeds.
