摘要
At Yangpu Port on the northwestern tip of Hainan Island, towering quay cranes are lined in neat rows, hoisting containers on and off cargo vessels in constant motion.“Today, half of the international ships we pilot are ultra-large vessels over 200meters in length,” said Lin Hongpin, head of the Yangpu branch of Hainan Provincial Ship Pilot Station. Since the launch of the island-wide special customs operations, port throughput has continued to climb, with pilotage services for such large ships rising by nearly 20 percent year on year.
