工业机器人应用扩大了区域经济差距吗——基于“中心—外围”城市的证据

Does the Application of Industrial Robots Widen Regional Economic Disparities——Evidence from"Central-Periphery"Cities

摘要 随着技术革新浪潮的推进,经济格局正被重构,并且呈现出了显著的空间异质性。基于理论模型,本文发现工业机器人应用对工作任务的技术含量产生了影响,进而使得中心与外围区域的劳动力产出效率存在着明显的差异,最终扩大了经济差距。使用工业机器人和275个城市面板数据的实证检验揭示,工业机器人应用加剧了省域中心城市与外围城市间的经济差距;并且对中高财政支持水平、高信息基础设施建设水平、创新创业活力较低以及经济发展更具潜力的地区带来的差距扩大影响更为明显。机制分析发现,通过收入分配效应和区域比较优势,工业机器人应用对经济差距产生影响;同时其对于邻近城市的经济差距存在空间溢出效应。本文深化了对机器人如何影响区域内部经济差距的理解,揭示了机器人对区域经济的非对称性影响,为探索技术赋能下的区域协调发展路径提供了重要参考。 As technology continues to evolve,the economic landscape is changing,with noticeable differences across regions.Theoretical model analysis shows that the rise of industrial robots is affecting the complexity of tasks,leading to clear differences in labor productivity between central and peripheral areas,which in turn is widening the economic disparity.Using data on industrial robots and panel data from 275 cities,we find that the use of industrial robots is indeed making the economic divide between central and peripheral cities more pronounced,especially in places with stronger fiscal support,better infrastructure,lower levels of innovation,and more room for economic growth.The impact happens through shifts in how income is distributed,and the advantages different regions have.Plus,we can see that the economicgaps are spilling over to nearby cities too.Our research helps us better understand how robots are driving these economic divides within regions,showing that their effects aren't spread out evenly.This gives us some useful insights on how to encourage more balanced growth across regions in today's tech-driven world.
