摘要
梁鼎芬向以诗词闻名,至于他对传统经史之学的讨论,过去则较少学者措意。梁氏虽无经学专著,但对经籍书注不乏议论。另外,梁氏曾执掌多所书院,从其制订学规、搜罗图书、编纂教材诸事宜,实又可窥其经典教育理念之一端。梁鼎芬长年襄赞张之洞兴办学堂,对晚清教育事业影响颇巨,研究其经学宗尚以及对经学教育的主张,除可为梁鼎芬其人研究补苴罅漏,亦可借此考察晚清时期,中西学术此消彼长之际,学人如何审视传统学问,又如何树立旧学之权威。文章考察梁氏奏折、信札、诗文等材料,剖析他对学习经典、经学考据以至汉宋之争的取态,冀可揭示梁氏于诗词创作以外,其学术思想的另一面向。
Liang Dingfen has long been recognized for his contributions to poetry,yet his engagement with the Confucian classics has received relatively little scholarly attention.Although he did not produce monographs on the Confucian canon,he offered extensive critiques of classical texts and their commentaries.Moreover,as an administrator of several academies,Liang played a crucial role in establishing academic regulations,curating book collections,and compiling teaching materials,all of which reflect key aspects of his educational philosophy on classical studies.He was a long-standing supporter of Zhang Zhidong's educational reforms and exerted a significant influence on education in the late Qing Dynasty.Examining his views on Confucian scholarship and classical learning not only addresses gaps in research on Liang himself but also illuminates how intellectuals in the late Qing Dynasty perceived traditional scholarship and sought to assert its authority amid the evolving dynamics between Chinese and Western learning.This paper analyzes Liang's memorials,letters,and literary works to explore his thoughts on classical studies,his stance on textual criticism,and factional debates such as the controversy over Han Leaning versus Song Learning,thereby uncovering a lesser-known aspect of his intellectual thought beyond his literary achievements.
