摘要
黄庭坚作《承天院塔记》的本意是支持修建寺院,其中两次提到“儒者”时的矛盾态度,显示出他对寺院从抵触到肯定的转变。根据日藏抄物《帐中香》所见新史料,崇宁二年陈举以“幸灾、谤国”检举黄庭坚。在时任中书侍郎赵挺之的影响下,黄庭坚被判“谤讪”之罪,特别责罚羁管宜州。从苏轼的“乌台诗案”开始,北宋士大夫在远离公共政治的寺院中获得了相对安全的私人文化空间。黄庭坚在此记中言辞激烈地谴责排佛者,打破以往吟咏情性的创作策略,实出于对佛教的信任感,他相信寺院空间下的言论可以避祸。但宋徽宗的佛教政策已然开始干预士大夫和寺院的关系,这不仅与此案的“谤讪”罪名有关,也迫使黄庭坚在宜州期间居无定所,并在创作上更趋于收敛。
Huang Tingjian’s“The Inscription on the Pagoda of Chengtian Temple”was originally intended to support the construction of the temple.When mentioning“Confucian scholars”twice in the inscription,his attitude towards the building of temple changed from resistance to support.According to new historical materials from the Japanese copy of Zhang Zhongxiang,a famous ancient Chinese book on incense,Chen Ju accused Huang Tingjian of“taking pleasure in others’misfortune”and“slandering the country”.With the intervention of Central Secretariat Zhao Tingzhi,Huang Tingjian was convicted of slander and was exiled to Yizhou.Since the Wutai Poetry Case,literati-officials found a relatively safe cultural space in temples.In this inscription,Huang Tingjian fiercely condemned those who opposed Buddhism,breaking from his usual creative strategy of poetic expression.With his trust in the temple,he believed that the discourse in the temple space could avoid misfortune.However,the implementation of Buddhist policies by Emperor Huizong interfered with the relationship between literati-officials and temples.This not only resulted in the“slander”charge in this case but also deprived Huang Tingjian of a fixed residence during his time in Yizhou,and led him to become more restrained in his writing.
