Taking the invasive plant Bidens frondosa L.and its companion species Lactuca indica L.as test materials, the differences of plant morphology and biomass accumulation and allocation characteristics of the two plants under different light intensities(14%-100%)were investigated.Combined with plasticity index evaluation, the adaptability of B.frondosa to light intensity was discussed. The results showed that under low light conditions, the plant height, crown width, crown area, total biomass, leaf area ratio, leaf root ratio, stem biomass ratio, root biomass ratio and leaf weight fraction of B.frondosa and L.indica were higher than those under full light.Combined with the analysis of plasticity index,it was found that B.frondosa showed stronger phenotypic plasticity in crown width, crown area, leaf area and other indicators, while L.indica had more advantages in plant height and total biomass. Therefore, moderate shading is beneficial to the growth and biomass accumulation of B.frondosa.B.frondosa and L.indica both have strong adaptability to light intensity, but the strategies are different.
