"The Wusuli Boat Song"is an artistic work with a strong local imprint and the ethnic characteristics of the Hezhe people.From the undulating melody to the true reflection of its artistic style,every line of the song presents the Hezhe people's landscape,idyllic life,and production activities to the audience.The music of the song is rooted in the cultural genes of the Hezhe people in the hinterland of the Three Rivers(Songhua River,Heilongjiang River,and Wusuli River),establishing the artistic characteristics of the song,namely regionalism,ethnicity,and people-centeredness.With the wide spread of the song and its resulting social effects,the artistic laws of Hezhe folk songs—created based on ethnic cultural genes and regional cultural contexts—have gained broader recognition.Meanwhile,as a composite carrier composed of ethnic languages,scripts,and local humanistic features,Hezhe folk songs serve as a"potent agent"for consolidating the consciousness of the Chinese nation as a community with a shared future and have become an important medium for connecting the common emotions of the Chinese nation.The unique modes,melodies,and lyrics contained in folk songs not only represent the cultural memories of the Chinese nation over thousands of years but also carry the inheritance of cultural genes.They are the cultural embodiment of the shared ideals,beliefs,and aesthetic concepts of the Chinese nation,and even more,a manifestation of the artistic essence of the Chinese nation.
