摘要
本文结合公鸡图像在早期中原墓葬艺术以及祆教艺术中的表现,认为莫高窟第285窟的公鸡图像从表现形式上受到中原地区汉代墓葬艺术中斗鸡类图像的影响;从表达意涵上很有可能受到粟特/祆教艺术的影响,主要强调公鸡惩治恶魔和守护秩序的功能。
By analyzing the images of roosters depicted in both Zoroastrian art and the early tomb art of the Central Plains,this paper argues that several formal characteristics of the rooster image in Mogao Cave 285 exhibit influences of the cockfighting images found in the Han dynasty tomb art of the Central Plains.In addition,the image was also likely influenced by Sogdian and Zoroastrian art in terms of the themes it conveyed,which highlight the mythical abilities of roosters to punish demons and maintain order.
