摘要
中医隐喻术语的跨文化阐释对推动中医药的国际传播具有关键作用。基于赵彦春构建的中医术语翻译评价模型,从术语的鲜明性、语符的理据性、语符的透明性、语境的生动性以及语符的简洁性5个维度,探讨世界中医药联合会《中医基本名词术语中英对照标准》(ISNTCM)与2022世界卫生组织中医国际标准术语(WHO22)在隐喻性脏腑术语的异同。研究发现,两套标准在脏腑术语部分均存在脏腑别称翻译不全、过度直译内涵缺失、文化意象翻译错位等现象。本研究验证了多维评价模型在中医脏腑隐喻术语翻译评估中的适用性,建议后续标准修订通过构建多维评价体系、深化隐喻转码机制、推进文化调适策略来提高译文的隐喻再现度,以增强中医理论的国际阐释力。
The cross-cultural interpretation of metaphorical terms in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)plays a pivotal role in promoting the international communication of TCM.Based on the evaluation model for TCM term translation constructed by Professor ZHAO Yanchun,this study explores the similarities and differences in metaphorical translations of Zang-Fu organs between the International Standard Chinese-English Basic Nomenclature of Chinese Medicine(ISNTCM)issued by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and the WHO international standard terminologies on traditional Chinese Medicine in the Western Pacific Region(2022)(WHO22)from five dimensions:Distinctiveness,Motivation,Transparency,Coordination,and Simplicity.The research findings reveal that both standards exhibit issues in the translation of Zang-Fu terms,such as incomplete translation of alternative names for Zang-Fu organs,over-literal translation leading to loss of connotations,and misalignment in the translation of cultural imagery.This study validates the applicability of the multi-dimensional evaluation model in assessing the translation of metaphorical TCM terms and suggests that subsequent revisions of the standards should enhance the metaphorical representation in translations by establishing a multi-dimensional evaluation system,deepening the mechanism of metaphorical transcoding,and promoting cultural adaptation strategies,thereby strengthening the international interpretive power of TCM theories.
