摘要
组建于1906年的慎昌洋行,除从事进出口贸易外,其经营业务还涉及建筑、制造、保险等领域。从慎昌洋行创办以来合作的厂商、客户及一些订单来看,慎昌洋行的经营业务及产品涉及范围较广,在西方国家对华工业输出中扮演了重要角色。慎昌洋行进口的机器设备和从西方国家引进的安装技术,为近代工业发展提供了便利,带动了国内生产方式的变革,有助于帮助解决国内的设备与技术短缺问题,加快了我国工业近代化步伐。
Established in 1906,Sun Cheong Hong was not only engaged in import and export trade,but also involved in construction,manufacture,insurance and other fields.From the manufacturers,customers and some orders that Sun Cheong Hong has cooperated with since its establishment,Sun Cheong Hong’s business and products covered a wide range and played an important role in the industrial export of Western countries to China.The machinery and equipment imported by Sun Cheong Hong and the installation technology imported from western countries provided convenience for the development of modern industry,promoted the transformation of domestic production mode,helped to solve the problem of shortage of domestic equipment and technology,and accelerated the pace of industrial modernization in China.
