摘要
中医作为世界非物质文化遗产在国内外备受关注,本研究从LexisNexis数据库中选取《中国日报》和《纽约时报》2016年2月26日至2023年12月31日有关中医的75篇报道为语料,以语料库辅助的批评话语分析为理论框架,利用主题词表和索引行工具对其进行对比分析,探讨双方对中医的认知和态度倾向。研究发现《中国日报》对中医的评价及形象塑造较为积极,聚焦其发展动态、治疗原理、疗效作用等;《纽约时报》聚焦中医的生物药材交易、疗效作用、历史等,批判其对生物材料的使用,对其疗效持怀疑态度,整体形象不够积极。未来应建立多元立体的中医国际传播体系,及时澄清负面报道,向国际社会传播中医文化。
As intangible cultural heritage of China for world,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has attracted much attention at home and abroad.By taking LexisNexis database as the corpus source,this study collects a total of 75 pieces of news reports on TCM from China Daily and the New York Times from February 26,2016 to December 31,2023.And then,with the corpus-assisted critical discourse analysis as theoretical framework,we adopt the corpus-driven research paradigm to make a comparative analysis of them based on keyword list and concordance,so as to explore their respective focuses and cognitive attitudes towards TCM.Conclusions show that the attitude of China Daily towards TCM is positive and optimistic,focusing on its development trends,treatment principles,curative effects and so on,which creates a positive image of TCM;while the New York Times has a complex attitude,with a focus on the trade and use of biological medicinal materials,curative effect,history of TCM and so on,criticizing its use of biological materials,recognizing and doubting its curative effects,which,to some extent,tarnishes the image of TCM.In the future,the opportunities brought by national policies and the integration of culture and tourism should be grabbed to build a multi-party international spread system of TCM and the negative reports should be clarified timely,thus establishing a good image of TCM in the world.
