环境DNA宏条形码评价信江鹰潭段浮游生物多样性和生态健康

Environmental DNA metabarcoding for assessing plankton diversity and ecological health in the Yingtan section of the Xinjiang River

摘要 浮游生物是生态系统的基石,其群落结构变化可直接映射水体的健康状态。为深入了解信江鹰潭段浮游生物多样性及水生态健康状况,使用环境DNA宏条形码技术与传统形态鉴定方法,对信江鹰潭段浮游生物进行了监测和评价。结果显示:环境DNA方法能鉴定到更多浮游生物物种;浮游生物多样性水平在城市化程度较高的区域较低,但没有显著的差异,而浮游生物群落结构有显著的区域差异;总磷含量显著影响浮游生物群落结构;浮游生物完整性指数评价表明,山区水生态健康状况优于城区和农业区,信江鹰潭段整体水生态健康状况被评估为“亚健康”。环境DNA宏条形码技术在浮游生物监测中具有更高的分辨率和客观性,能够显著提升监测效率。 As fundamental components of aquatic ecosystems,plankton communities reflect water quality and ecosystem health.To investigate plankton biodiversity and assess aquatic ecological status in the Yingtan section of Xinjiang River,we employed both environmental DNA(eDNA)metabarcoding and traditional morphological methods for plankton monitoring.Results demonstrated that eDNA technology detected greater plankton diversity compared to conventional methods.Although plankton biodiversity showed no significant variation across regions,the community structure exhibited notable spatial differences,with urbanized areas displaying lower diversity levels.Total phosphorus was identified as the key environmental factor influencing plankton community composition.Assessment using the Planktonic Biological Integrity Index(P-BII)revealed superior ecological health in mountainous regions compared to urban and agricultural areas,with the overall aquatic ecosystem of the Yingtan section rated as“subhealthy”.The study demonstrated that eDNA metabarcoding provides a more efficient,objective,and higher-resolution approach for plankton monitoring.
