摘要
《红楼梦》回目中的“一字定评”蕴含春秋笔法的叙事智慧,以薛宝钗与花袭人两个常被现代读者误解的两个女性形象为研究对象,通过“时”与“贤”的文本细读,探讨曹雪芹如何在儒家伦理框架下建构理想女性范式。“时”宝钗体现儒家“圣之时者”的集大成境界,暗合封建淑女典范;“贤”袭人则以忠恕之道践行奴婢阶层的道德标杆。二者共同构成作者对封建伦理合理性的诠释,为《红楼梦》人物研究提供新的阐释路径。
The“one-character evaluation”in the chapter titles of A Dream of Red Mansions embodies the narrative wisdom of“Spring-and-Autumn style”(a style of writing implying subtle and guarded criticism).Taking Xue Baochai and Hua Xiren,two female figures often misunderstood by modern readers,as research objects,this paper explores,through close textual analyses of two Chinese characters-“Shi”(时,timely)and“Xian”(贤,virtuous),how Cao Xueqin constructs an ideal female paradigm within the Confucian ethical framework.“Shi”Baochai reflects the comprehensive realm of a Confucian“sage who adapts to the times”,aligning with the model of feudal ladies,while“Xian”Xiren practices the moral benchmark of the servant class with the principles of loyalty and forbearance.Together,they constitute the author’s interpretation of the rationality of feudal ethics,providing a new interpretive path for the study of figures in A Dream of Red Mansions.
