Contemporary immersive exhibition design commonly faces problems such as technological overaccumulation and fragmented experiences, which not only result in resource waste but also render cultural communication superficial.Taking Mozi's thought of"frugality in use"as an anchoring point, and within a comparative framework of Chinese and Western economic ethics, this study distills a cross-cultural ethical consensus that resonates with the core of"frugality in use,"while constructing a transformation pivot through which economic ethics extend into design ethics. In doing so,it enables a cross-temporal theoretical dialogue between Mozi's traditional ethics of making and Western modern experience design theories. On this basis,a three-layer model-"locality layer-interaction layer-people-centered layer"-is constructed to guide viewers toward the internalization of values from physical perception to cultural identification, thereby exploring a sustainable development path for immersive exhibition design that integrates cultural subjectivity, experiential depth, and social responsibility.
