摘要
在数字时代,企业如何实现可持续商业模式创新成为学术界关注的焦点,但其内在过程与微观驱动机理尚未完全明晰。基于此,研究从资源与能力共演的视角,选取生态修复领域的领军企业蒙草为案例,运用纵向单案例研究方法,深入探索不同阶段资源行动与数字化能力共同驱动可持续商业模式创新的过程及内在机理。研究发现:首先,生态修复企业在持续发展的过程中,通过各阶段的组织警觉,采取资源拼凑、资源编排和资源协奏等行动,逐步培养了数字感知能力、数字运营能力和数字资源协同能力,通过企业不同发展阶段资源与能力的共演,构建了多元型价值主张,发展了绿色化服务形式,最终实现了多维共享价值捕获,推动了可持续商业模式创新。其次,生态修复企业通过组织警觉识别情境机会,采取不同的资源行动,推动数字化能力的提升,形成了“情境—行动—能力—结果”的内在驱动逻辑,进而推动了可持续商业模式创新。
The rapid growth of digital technologies has brought about substantial changes in business model innova-tion,and the concept of sustainable business model innovation has gained significant attention in recent years.However,the underlying processes and micro-mechanisms that drive such innovation remain insufficiently explored.This study focuses on how ecological restoration companies,facing resource constraints and digital transformation,can effectively implement sustainable business model innovation.Using M-Grass Ecology and Environment(Group)Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as M-Grass.)as a case study,the research investigates the role of resource actions and digital capabilities in driving the co-evolutionary process that leads to business model innovation in the digital age.The aim is to explore how companies can balance environmental goals with economic objectives through digital strategies and resource orchestration,ultimately con-tributing to the development of new and sustainable business models in the field of ecological restoration.This study adopts a longitudinal single-case research method,focusing on M-Grass,a leading company in ecological restoration.The research integrates theories of organizational alertness,resource orchestration,and digital capabilities to construct a conceptual framework for analyzing the company's business model innovation process.The case study method-ology allows for an in-depth examination of the dynamic interplay between digital capabilities and resource actions at dif-ferent stages of M-Grass's development.Data is gathered through semi-structured interviews,organizational reports,and field research.The study also emphasizes the evolution of digital capabilities,such as digital perception,digital operations,and digital resource collaboration,and their role in creating and sustaining a competitive advantage in the ecological restora-tion industry.The research reveals that M-Grass successfully employs organizational alertness to recognize opportunities in its envi-ronment,thereby facilitating timely resource actions that align with digital capabilities.Through the co-evolution of resourc-es and capabilities,M-Grass gradually develops its digital perception,digital operations,and digital resource collaboration skills,which ultimately drive business model innovation.The study identifies the key mechanisms through which resource actions-such as resource bundling,orchestration,and harmonization-interact with digital capabilities to create a diversi-fied value proposition,which includes green services and long-term ecological benefits.These mechanisms enable M-Grass to achieve multi-dimensional value capture,balancing economic,social,and environmental objectives.The study also finds that the company's business model evolves through different stages,reflecting its increasing ability to integrate digital tech-nologies and manage resources in a way that meets both market and ecological demands.This process follows an intrinsic"context-action-capability-result"logic,where changes in the business environment,organizational actions,and digital capa-bilities are closely interlinked and result in sustainable business model innovation.Future research could further explore the application of the theoretical framework in other industries,particularly in sectors that face similar challenges in integrating sustainability with business performance.Additionally,the study points to the need for further investigation into the impact of external factors-such as policy changes and market trends-on the digi-tal transformation of ecological restoration companies.
