摘要
盘状器是形如盘状的打制石器的统称,是仰韶文化极具特色的代表性石器类型,其功能争议较大。庙底沟遗址是出土盘状器最丰富的遗址,本文从出土背景、类型学、技术学和功能学等视角对盘状器进行综合分析,揭示了该遗址盘状器延续时间长且有专门储备的属性,拥有丰富的细分类型和灵活的加工策略,是一种具有多样化功能的权宜性工具,其比较确认的功能是作为加工颜料的敲砸器或碾磨器,也有作为砍砸刮削工具的附属功能,还有作为投掷武器或器具、脱粒工具和器盖的可能,但不太可能作为盘状石核、环玦坯和礼器化工具。
Discoids(pánzhuàngqì),a diagnostic stone tool type of the Yangshao culture,are characterized by their disc-like form,yet their function remains the subject of considerable debate.The Miaodigou site has produced the largest assemblage of these artifacts.This study adopts an integrated approach—combining contextual,typological,technological,and functional analyses-—to investigate the Miaodigou discoids.The results show that discoids were used over a long period and deliberately stockpiled.They display multiple sub-types and flexible manufacturing strategies,suggesting their role as expedient,multifunctional tools.The most securely identified uses are as percussors and grinders for pigment processing,while secondary functions included chopping,scraping,and pounding.Less certain but possible functions involve their use as throwing objects,threshing tools,or container lids.By contrast,the evidence indicates they were unlikely to have served as discoid cores,jue-ring blanks,or ritual implements.
