The article combines the latest trends in intelligent,green,and networked elevators to analyze the working principle and failure modes of elevator brakes,elaborate on the failure modes,including mechanical jamming,mechanical aging and wear,electrical circuit faults,and monitoring switch shielding.Then,preventive protection measures are proposed,such as strengthening regular daily maintenance work,paying attention to checking braking torque,and developing predictive protection technologies.
