From a narratological perspective,Huangmei Opera shares a congruent deep narrative structure with Western drama, while diverging significantly in surface structural configurations.Presently, within the global theatrical narrative polysystem dominated by Western dramatic discourse,Huangmei Opera occupies a peripheral position. This structural imbalance necessitates a cross-cultural reconstruction of its surface structure—encompassing themes, characters, and technical expression—with reference to Western dramatic narrative frameworks to facilitate international dissemination.Thematic reconstruction requires extracting motif elements from the original narrative fabric that resonate with Western audiences' cognitive schemas, then elevating them into the core theme through plot reconfiguration.Character reconstruction entails transcending the“flat”archetypes of traditional Huangmei Opera by endowing protagonists with psychological growth trajectories constituted by such factors like identity anxiety, emotional conflict, and moral dilemmas, and enriching the inner world of minor roles through techniques like mirroring contrasts and conflict-driven development.Technical reconstruction involves leveraging modern digital technologies to redefine spatiotemporal presentation paradigms, creating immersive experiences that balance cultural authenticity with enhanced sensory impact.
