摘要
胶矾水自古以来被广泛应用于中国传统书画的绘制、装裱与修复过程。尽管胶矾水能够显著提高纸张疏水性并将墨色聚集于纸上,但施胶矾纸张经长期保存后容易发生纸张变色、脆化等问题,胶矾对纸张的长久保存构成威胁。本文介绍了纸质文物中胶、矾以及胶矾水的性质和用途,总结了应用现代科技手段研究胶矾水对纸张耐久性的影响机制,归纳了可替代传统胶矾水的新型施胶剂,最后展望了胶矾水相关研究的发展方向,以期为传统装裱修复技艺的科学化发展提供理论参考,为书画类纸质文物的保护与传承提供科学依据。
Gelatin-alum solution has been widely used in the drawing,mounting,and restoration of traditional Chinese calligraphies and paintings since ancient times.Although the use of gelatin-alum solution can significantly improve the hydrophobicity and ink aggregation of paper,the long-term preservation of sized paper with gelatin-alum also leads to paper discoloration and embrittlement,posing a threat to the durability of paper.This review introduced the properties and applications of gelatin,alum,and gelatin-alum solution respectively,summarized the mechanism on the effect of gelatin-alum solution on paper durability studied by using modern scientific and technological methods,and summed up the development of new sizing agents to replace or supplement traditional gelatin-alum solution.Finally,this review discussed the directions for the future researches of gelatin-alum solution.It is expected to provide theoretical reference for the scientific development of traditional mounting and restoration crafts,and provide scientific basis for the conservation and inheritance of traditional paper-based cultural relics including calligraphies and paintings.
