摘要
七十年代以来,笔者接触了棉花品种区域试验与生产试验的工作,对参加试验的品种做了一些观察和分析。参加1973—1978年黄河流域棉花品种区试的品种,共26个,试验点次104个;参加江苏省1974—1975年棉花品种区试的品种共10个,试验点次33个。以这些区域试验资料为基础,结合我国棉花育种工作的现状,试对棉花高产优质育种问题提出几点看法。
Through analyzing the results obtained in the cotton varietal experiment of our country in the recent seventies,it indicates that breeding for high-yielding,early ripening and disease resistant cotton varieties in Our country has obtained great achievements.But there still exists a big gap between the foreign varieties and ours on the respect of fiber qualities,and fiber strength in particular.For father raising the yielding capacities of cotton varieties,it is suggested to improve the plant type,increaase boll bearing capacity and pay attention to boll weigth and lint percentage simultaniously,to make them develop in great harmony.Analyzing the correlation between high-yielding capacity and plant types,it is advised to select cotion plant types as follows:1.Those types with better vertical growth and a limited horizontal growth.2.Those types with optimum number of fruiting branches and nodules on them together with a low rate of boll shedding.3.Types with rather a high position of the first fruiting branch and with a concentrated bolling rate at its early stage.4.Those types with long functional duration of leaves and with green leaves andstaunch branches at the latter stage.On rgard to the breeding methods,it is emphasized to pay more attention to looking for and developing new hereditary variation,employing introgressive hybridization and strengthening continual selection in the progenies.
