摘要
关于种子生活力与酶活性的关系,早在1918年W.Crocker和Harringtion T.E.就报道了,死亡的约翰逊草种子仍然有过氧化氢酶活性。Ciferri(1925年)发现由于种子年龄增加,过氧化氢酶活性和种子生活力之间的相关性下降。Bruckner(1948年)发现玉米、燕麦、小麦随种子年龄增加,过氧化物酶活性和萌发能力之间有很好的一致性。Bishop(1945年)报道,没有萌发能力的大麦种子还有过氧化物酶的反应。Grobe(1964年)发现谷氨酸脱羧酶活性税处于不同贮藏条件下的玉米种子生长力之间有很高的相关性。
The present experiment shows that the germination rate and viability of seeds of spring wheat cultivats"Abbondanza","2419","Quality"(Tr.aestivum)decreased as a result of prolonged storage.At the same time the peroxidase activity of the seeds declined.However,while the seeds of"Quality"completely lost their germination power,their peroxidase was still active.Using the technique of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis,the isoenzymes of peroxidase and cytochrome oxidase of the above-mentioned three wheat cultivars were analysed.It was found that the quantity and intensity of the hands of the two isoenzymes decreased as the germination rate and viability of seeds decreased.In the seeds of"Quality",however,isoenzymes of the peroxidase and cytochrome oxidase retained their activities to some extent even though the seeds were no longer viable.
