摘要
运用LDA主题建模与可视化技术对1969—2023年布克奖获奖小说进行大数据分析,揭示了文本深层叙事中的国别诗学分野:英国籍作家的创作紧密围绕阶级权力、海洋探险等主题,其身体描写渗透着性别与权力隐喻;而非英国籍作家则聚焦于家庭、战争创伤及殖民记忆,其中以“家”为核心的“寻根”叙事,将“母亲”形象升华为故土的象征。该方法的运用,不仅能系统性地提取出13个核心与边缘主题,更可通过可视化对比,将这种潜藏的叙事差异客观呈现,可为理解布克奖获奖小说提供新路径。
This study employs LDA topic modeling and visualization techniques to conduct a big-data analysis of Booker Prize-winning novels from 1969 to 2023,revealing distinct national poetic divergences within their deep narratives.The analysis demonstrates that British authors predominantly engage with themes such as class,power,and maritime exploration,where descriptions of the body are permeated with metaphors of gender and power.In contrast,non-British authors focus on themes of family,the trauma of war,and colonial memory.Their"roots-seeking"narratives,centered on the concept of"home",often elevate the figure of the"mother"into a symbol of the homeland.This approach not only systematically identified 13 core and peripheral themes but also objectively visualized these latent narrative differences through comparative analysis.It thereby offers a new,data-supported pathway for understanding the discourses of cultural identity and power in Booker Prizewinning novels.
