摘要
一、引言 能量在大气中是一个主要的因素,大气中一切的现象之所以能发生,都是因为大气有适当的能量的供给和变化。大气中能量的式样很多,不同式样的能力有不同的重要性,研究各种式样的能力的多寡和它的变化是很有意义的,因为大气环流中的一個主要問题就是能量的平衡,要讨論這個問题,首先要知道能量的多寡和變化。
In this paper we have discussed the variation of kinetic,potential as well as internal energy,in the layer 700 mb to 300 mb in the middle latitudes duing the period from July 1945 to January 1946.The kinetie energy is separated into two parts:The kinetic energy of the“basic zonal motion”and the kinetic,energy of the."disturbances".It is found that:1.The kinetic energy of disturbances is on the average larger than that of the basic zonal motion except in the latitudes of theN jet stream in winter.2.The average total kinetic energy in July 1945 and January 1946 is-about twice as big as that of the kinetic energy of the mean atmosphere found by Spar.3.The time required for the complete dissipation of the total kinetic energy of the atmosphere is estimated to be around two weeks This is much,largey than the previously used figure.4.The increase in kinetic energy from summer to winter is only slightly more than one per cent of the release of the potential energy and internal energy in the same period.
