摘要
以往研究多只關注疑問向感嘆的演變,本文基於副詞“好”的語義演變,論證從程度感嘆到程度疑問的可能性。從歷時文獻來看,程度疑問代詞“好”的出現晚於程度副詞“好”。從共時分佈來看,“好”表達程度感嘆的用法廣泛分佈於漢語方言,程度疑問代詞“好”則是後起于長江沿線的方言創新。部分方言的程度副詞“很”和程度指示代詞“這麼”存在與“好”相似的平行演變。本文認爲,“好”從程度感嘆到程度疑問的演變機制通過意外激發回溯推理、追問細節,從而達到尋求信息的最終目的。
Previous research has primarily focused on the transition from interrogative to exclamatory usage,whereas this paper emphasizes the semantic evolution of the adverb hao(好)from degree exclamation to degree interrogation.Through a historical review,it is observed that the interrogative usage of hao(好)emerged later than its exclamatory usage.In terms of synchronic distribution,while the exclamatory hao(好)is widely distributed across Chinese dialects,the interrogative usage primarily originated in dialect innovations along the Yangtze River.Additionally,the evolution path of the degree adverb hen(很)and the demonstrative zhe me(這麼)bear similarities to hao(好)providing strong parallel evidence.The paper argues that the mechanism for the semantic evolution of the adverb hao(好)from degree exclamation to degree interrogation is to stimulate retrospective reasoning and inquire about details by mirativity,thus achieving the ultimate goal of seeking information.
