摘要
认知文体学和语料库文体学都是目前文体学研究中的核心前沿分支领域,然而将两者同时与翻译研究相结合的交叉研究仍相对较少。本文以残雪小说黑暗叙事的英译为例,通过基于语料库的语义标注和认知文体分析,对不同译者关于黑色词的翻译进行深入对比。研究发现,由于语言文化差异和一般认知规律制约,翻译中呈现出一些共性特征;同时,译者在一定情境下的独特认知风格也对翻译小说的叙事效果产生了显著影响。在未来的翻译认知研究中,只有综合考察翻译共性与译者风格的认知动因,才能对翻译过程形成一个更加全面的认识。
As core frontier branches of stylistics at present,cognitive stylistics and corpus stylistics haven't yet been combined with translation studies at the same time systematically.Taking the English translations of the narration of darkness in Can Xue's fiction as a case study,this paper has made an in-depth comparison of black color terms rendered by different translators through cognitive stylistic analysis based on the semantically-tagged corpus.It is found that there are some shared translation-specific features caused by the constraint of general cognitive laws as well as linguistic and cultural differences,and the translator's distinctive cognitive style can also be detected under certain circumstances,which has a marked effect on the narration of fiction in translation.In future cognitive translation studies,a comprehensive exploration should be made on the cognitive motivations of both the so-called translation universals and the translator's style so as to have a more thorough understanding of the translation process.
