摘要
问题意识是基本科学精神的表征之一,是人们探索未知、破解难题之动力。中国传统译论作为中国翻译思想之结晶,有其独特的问题意识。本文沿着中国传统译论现代转化的路径,梳理中国传统译论问题意识的起源与发展。发现中国传统译论的问题意识受儒家思想的深刻影响,起源于孔子对专名翻译的思考,并随着社会现实的发展而发展。其问题意识常以四类翻译命题和四类翻译范畴的形式呈现。从关系论视角来看,中国传统译论的问题意识分为对文本与文本、人与文本、人与人、人与环境等四类关系问题的认识。
A core constituent of scientific spirit,problem awareness functions as a driving force in human explorations of the unknown and searches for solutions to complex issues.As such,it underlies the crystallization of China's indigenous translation thoughts into traditional Chinese translation theory.This paper looks into the unique formation of problem awareness with which traditional Chinese translation theory is informed.Constituted of four categories of translation concepts and four types of translation propositions,the formation displays a keen awareness of the relations that exist between texts,between humans and texts,between humans,and between humans and their environments.A further investigation into this distinctive awareness within the framework of the theory's modern transformation also shows that its origination had been profoundly influenced by Confucianism in general and Confucius's reflections on the translation of proper names in particular,and that its subsequent development has been significantly impacted by China's changing social realities.
