摘要
石油地质学是一门高度专业化的学科,其术语翻译的准确性会对科研成果的传播与跨国技术交流的效率产生直接影响,由于术语本身具有多义性且中英语言结构和表达习惯有着明显差异,翻译中常会出现术语多义混淆、语法逻辑混乱及语言表达不规范等问题。因此,文章梳理出石油地质学术语翻译中应遵循的原则,分析问题并结合具体语境提出翻译策略。提升术语翻译质量应在语言转换之外加强对专业语义的精准把握和对语用环境的整体判断,从而实现专业性与表达效果的统一。
Petroleum geology is a highly specialized discipline,where the accuracy of terminology translation directly influences the dissemination of research findings and the efficiency of international technical communication.Given the polysemous nature of many terms,coupled with the significant structural and stylistic differences between Chinese and English,translation often encounters challenges such as semantic ambiguity,syntactic confusion,and nonstandard expression.In response to these issues,this paper outlines key translation principles,analyzes common problems,and proposes context-sensitive strategies aimed at refining translation quality.Ultimately,improving the translation of petroleum geological terminology requires not only linguistic competence but also a precise grasp of domain-specific meanings and a comprehensive understanding of contextual usage,so as to ensure both technical accuracy and clarity of expression.
