摘要
毛泽东诗词是中华民族文化的瑰宝,兼具历史价值和艺术魅力,是中国文化“走出去”的重要载体。本研究基于布迪厄社会实践理论,对威利斯·巴恩斯通和许渊冲的《毛泽东诗词》译本进行对比,指出同时期的两位译者在场域、惯习和资本三方面表现出显著差异,但在文化传播和跨文化交流方面却又殊途同归,从而丰富和拓展了社会翻译学研究的理论框架,也为更全面地理解中华诗词在国际传播中的路径和翻译效果提供了参考。
Mao Zedong's poems are precious gems in the treasure trove of Chinese culture,embodying remarkable historical significance and artistic allure.They play a vital role as vehicles for promoting Chinese culture on the global stage.This study employs Bourdieu's social practice theory to conduct a comparative analysis of the translations of Mao Zedong's poems by Willis Bairnstone and Xu Yuanchong.By doing so,it delves into the similarities and differences between the two translators in terms of translation strategies,cultural transfer,and other aspects.The research aims to uncover the intricate relationship between translation activities and social culture,contributing to the enrichment and expansion of the theoretical framework of social translation studies.Moreover,it offers valuable insights for a more thorough understanding of the international dissemination routes of Chinese poetry and the effectiveness of its translation.
