作者以回忆录的形式记述了自己1973-1976年在武汉钢铁学院求学期间,坚持科学思考、敢于大胆假设、缜密推理验证的几个学习生活片段,其中着重介绍了五个典型事例——自创“双十字交叉法”解化学题、求证斗柄式装载机的斗柄曲线为对数螺线的设计机理、推广“柯尼希定理”、革新“压杆稳定系数”的算法、在毕业设计中为矿厂设计全液压挖掘机,展现了作者不怕困难、勇挑重担、坚持自主研究的治学态度,勾勒出其科研理想萌芽和成长的轨迹。作者还作诗四首,言志抒怀,体现了他高远的人生志向、深厚的人文涵养,以及他对同学、对师长、对母校的深情厚谊。
In this memoir-style essay,the author recalls several episodes from his college years at Wuhan Iron and Steel Institute(1973-1976),highlighting his commitment to scientific thinking,bold hypothesizing,and rigorous reasoning.The narrative focuses on five representative cases:devising“Double-Cross Method”for solving chemistry problems;verifying the design mechanism by which the motion trajectory of the bucket arm in a bucket loader follows a logarithmic spiral;extending the application of König’s Theorem in engineering mechanics;refining the method for calculating the stability coefficient of compression members;and independently designing a fully hydraulic excavator for a mining plant as his graduation project.These episodes attest to the author’s tenacity in the face of challenges,his readiness to shoulder responsibility,and his dedication to independent research-together shaping the early course of his scientific aspirations.The account is further enriched by four original poems,in which the author articulates his lofty ideals,profound humanistic sensibility,and deep affection for his classmates,mentors,and alma mater.
