摘要
汉字“沈”和“沉”在读chén时,意义和用法相同;但是两个汉字之间的关系复杂,在历史文献中有混用和分化的现象。到现代,表“沉没”义的“沉”chén已经与姓氏“沈”shĕn分开、并独立出来,这是符合文字发展规律的。在考察汉语、汉字规范化的历史时,这样的现象是应当注意的。
When pronounced chén,the Chinese characters 沈(shěn)and 沉(chén)share the same meaning and usage;however,the relationship between the two characters is complex,as phenomena of confusion and differentiation in their use can be observed in historical documents.In modern Chinese,沉(chén),which denotes the meaning of“to sink”,has been separated from 沈(shěn),which is used as a surname,and has become an independent character—this is consistent with the laws of script development.Such a phenomenon deserves attention when examining the history of the standardization of the Chinese language and Chinese characters.
