摘要
建设全国统一大市场是国家重大战略部署,也是实现中国式现代化的关键所在。本文对城市人口集聚对全国统一大市场的影响机制进行理论分析,并构建计量模型采用地级市面板数据进行实证检验。研究发现,城市人口集聚能够显著推动全国统一大市场建设,经过一系列稳健性检验后结果仍然成立。城市人口集聚对全国统一大市场建设影响存在区域异质性,且随着城际距离的增加,人口集聚的作用效应逐渐减弱。进一步研究表明城市人口集聚能够通过带动交通基础设施和数字基础设施水平的提升推动全国统一大市场建设。本文的研究为政府部门更好地推进全国统一大市场建设提供经验证据和政策建议。
The construction of a unified national market represents a major national strategic deployment and also serves as a crucial cornerstone for realizing Chinese-style modernization.This paper conducts a theoretical analysis of the mechanism through which urban population agglomeration affects the unified national market,and constructs an econometric model to perform empirical tests using panel data of prefecture-level cities.The study finds that urban population agglomeration can significantly promote the construction of the unified national market,and the results remain valid after a series of robustness tests.There exists regional heterogeneity in the impact of urban population agglomeration on the construction of the unified national market;moreover,as intercity distance increases,the effect of population agglomeration gradually diminishes.Further research reveals that urban population agglomeration can drive the construction of the unified national market by boosting the development levels of transportation infrastructure and digital infrastructure.The research in this paper provides empirical evidence and policy recommendations for government departments to better advance the construction of the unified national market.
